Visit Florence in Tuscany. A city rich in art, nature and excellent gastronomy. The area of Florence is a true “extract of Tuscany”, a splendid city that contains all the qualities of one of Italy’s most beautiful regions and most loved by foreign tourists for city breaks.

Admire the best works of Florence at the Palazzo della Signoria splendidly decorated with alfresco and 17th Century plaster. The best example built by the Medicea dynasty is the Uffizi, today a famous museum and a must visit for every tourist that comes to Florence.

From the Uffizi is the Corridoio Vasariano, built to commemorate the wedding of Cosimo I’s son which creates a connection between the Palazzo della Signoria and Palazzo Pitti through the Ponte Vecchio, the most historical bridge of the city.

You can not say that you have visited Florence if you have not stopped to admire the fabulous churches. The Duomo, famous for its Brunelleschi dome which dominates Florence and can be admired from almost every point of the city like Piazzale Michelangelo, the Fiesole hillside or the Giotto clock tower. In front of the Dome is the Baptistery which is certainly the most religious historic artefact of the city.

The churches of Florence which merit a visit are numerous, like Santa Croce and San Miniato al Monte. The first, remains famous for “I Sepolcri” of Foscolo.

On the left side of the church is the entrance to the Cappella dei Pazzi, one of the most celebrated works of Brunelleschi.
